The Velvet Hands - 'Star'

Soaring in 80s soundscapes with a modernized twist, The Velvet Hands continue to storm through with their latest release, 'Star'.

Taking a risk with guitarist Dan Able leading the way with vocals, the south-west four-piece work wonders with award-winning brass arranger Simon Dobson to bring their edge of rock and roll to life.

Following from hit tracks 'Back On A Winner' and 'Fallout', The Velvet Hands latest single is covered in charisma that they can only possess alongside the flow of Primal Scream-esc choruses and roaring riffs. Speaking about 'Star', the band added: “It was inspired by someone I met who went on celebs go dating with a genuine intention to find love. To only find herself aghast when the producers started asking her to cause drama. Love was not found, but ‘Star’ was. It’s a big two fingers up at reality culture and the selling of one dignity for fame."

With their name plastered across the music scene as ones to watch, The Velvet Hands will soon be rocking a stage near you.
