20-year-old Ellur infectiously offers the positive outlook of heartbreak through the attitude yet resonate fulfilled single 'Moments'.
Taken from her upcoming debut EP, Halifax based Ellur has since the age of 11 pursued music and brings to the indie-pop sphere a modern look to the influences of Madonna, Kate Bush, and Stevie Nicks she has grown to love.
Set on the emotions of reclaiming power and growing from a previous relationship - Ellur soaring choruses hooked between addictive pop beats entwine within the mature lyricism scream the life of a youth that's ready to take the next step. Speaking about her latest work, Ellur added: “I wrote Moments last winter after a breakup, and it was this really sad, brooding ballad, but it really transformed when we took it to the studio. It became a sort of happier reflection on that relationship and the better times of it. The final section where I really go for it is probably my favourite bit, and the lines “But all the years I'd trade, for a second to stay, in this moment we made" are some of my favourite lyrics I've written.
With her EP ready to grace us this winter, Ellur is looking ahead to 2022 as she becomes one to watch within the UK music scene.
